Journalism is one of the mass communication media that people cannot live without, as it is a tool to transfer much news playing the role of the window through which people are exposed to the society and the world. At the same time, journalism characteristics and features differ from one country or nation to another, since they reflect the cultural characteristics and components of each country. Newspaper Texts is one of the subjects taught in the Chinese language learning program for non-speakers of it, acquiring more importance day after day. It plays a major role in helping the Chinese language students to get acquainted with the Chinese culture and to improve their linguistic skills. Also, reading Chinese newspapers helps students understand the Chinese community and the lifestyle there, along with the acquisition of new words and expressions. Newspapers introduce the major contemporary social issues in China as well. Accordingly, students become at a high level of consciousness of the Chinese community, raising their level of the Chinese language acquisition.
