Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Graduate Studies for Statistical Research - Department of Mathematical Statistics Summary: A new lifetime models based on Nadarajah-Haghighi and another distributions have been proposed. The proposed distributions are very competitive to other lifetime models. Various statistical properties of the new distributions have been explored . The new distributions have also been discussed alongside Monte Carlo simulation study to assess the performance of the estimation procedure by maximum likelihood method estimation. Finally, the proposed distributions were fitted to two real-world datasets to determine their applicability. The new distributions yield good fits to both data sets empirically as compared with the other distributions used in the comparison
