This method was also applied on a 12-storey building containing shear walls in one direction. Finally a comparison between the base shear force calculated by (DDBD) and those calculated by the force base design method (FBD) is shown

The objective of this thesis is to apply the direct displacement based design approach (DDBD) on different reinforced concrete frame buildings with 2, 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 storeys.
