Therefore, it must be replaced by renewable energy as it saves the environment. This study focuses on solar energy and its integration in buildings. It discusses its types and properties. It highlights on factors affecting photovoltaic efficiency and how to cope with it.The research aims at formulating a framework to help the architect to integrate photovoltaics in building with highest efficiency, and find out if integrating photovoltaics is suitable with surrounding conditions in Egypt and payback period
