Newly formulated drug combinations have advantages such as having synergistic effect on targeting one disease and improving medication compliance; however from pharmaceutical analysis point of view, it is considered as a challenge in developing a quality control method for analysis and in establishing a stability study for such drug combinations. This thesis is concerned with the analysis of some newly formulated nitrogen containing drugs namely Carbazochrome, Troxerutin and Orphenadrine. The aim of the present work was the development of analytical methods, which would be feasible, sensitive and specific for simultaneous determination of Carbazochrome and Troxerutin in their pure form and in their laboratory prepared mixtures. Also the determination of Orphenadrine which is found to be co-formulated with Caffeine and Aspirin, either alone or in presence of their degradation products. Also the application of these methods to determine the cited drugs in pharmaceutical formulations
