This work is concerned with the quantitative determination of some drugs containing amine functional group; Famotidine (FAM) in its mixture with Ibuprofen (IBU), Vildagliptin (VID) in its mixture with metformin HCl (MET), Clopidogrel bisulfate (CLO) and Alizapride (ALZ). In this thesis; different analytical techniques were adopted, namely, spectrophotometric, chemometric, chromatographic, liquid chromatography coupled with mass detection and chiral separation methods for the determination of the previously mentioned compounds in their pure powder, laboratory prepared mixtures and dosage forms. In part I; General introduction and literature review of the studied drugs were described. In part II; a novel chromatographic and chemometric stability indicating methods were developed for the determination of IBU and FAM in the presence of acid and base degradation products of FAM and/or IBU impurity (4-isobutylacetophenone)
