A key feature of clad products is that the backing material is often significantly cheaper than the cladding alloy, so that clad products can offer substantial cost savings over the use of solid alloy products. A joint between two clad sections becomes an integral part of the structure. It is only must support the applied load, and also maintain the characteristics of the cladding uniformly. For purpose of corrosion resistance; internal clad steel pipes are readily welded together by completely filling the weld groove by a corresponding clad filler metal. AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo3 is usually the recommended filler metal to weld API 5L grade X65 pipe steel cladded with inconel 625. The objective of this thesis is to provide a new welding procedure to get substantial cost saving without impairing corrosion resistance or mechanical properties
