Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Nuclear Medicine Summary: In this work PET / CT was performed for 52 patients with CUP syndrome (15/52 patients had lymph nodes , 11 had skeletal metastases , 8 patients had liver metastases , 4 had cerebral metastases , 4 patients had malignant pleural effusions , 3 had malignant ascites , 2 patients had lung nodules , 1 had chest wall metastases ) . Among those 52 patients included in the study , 22 patients had cytology proved metastatic lesion & the remaining 30 patients had clinical & radiological suspicion of the presence of a malignancy
