The sample consisted of 10 post pubertal females with retruded chin. Standardized lateral cephalograms and photographs were taken before the injection, one week and six months post-injection. Patient received 2 ml of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid for chin augmentation. It was concluded that: 1-Chin augmentation with non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid injection resulted in major changes of facial soft tissue. 2-The effects were not only obtained in the chin area, but reached all the way up to subnasale and the submandibular area. 3-The results included a statistical significant retroclination of the upper and lower lips, a decrease in lower facial height and deepening of mentolabial sulcus depth. 4-The major changes in the facial soft tissue occurred immediately within the first week, with a statistical relapse after the follow up period of six months. However this relapse did not completely negate the effect of the injection.
