Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Orthopedic Surgery Summary: Results: Patient satisfaction using Odom{u2019}s criteria of outcome grading.Ten patients (28.6%) had excellent recovery.Twenty two patients (62.8%) had good recovery. Three patients (8.6%) had fair recovery. At 1 year follow-up examination, the fusion was observed in both groups.The rate of fusion was 85% (40/47 levels) in group A and 78% (32/41 patients) in group B and this difference was statistically insignificant (P > 0.05)
