The liver is the main organ where essential hemostatic functions of the body are maintained. These hemostatic functions include xenobiotics metabolism and detoxifications that are sustained by both the strategic location and the unique functional anatomy of the liver. Xenobiotics can cause liver damage in a variety of means either directly or indirectly via the product of metabolism
