Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Computers and Information - Department of Information Technology
RFID technology is widely deployed in many applications to identify, track and locate mobile objects with high accuracy. In the health-care field, RFID technology is applied to track patients, staff and medical equipment to decrease medical errors, monitor patient locations in the hospital and retrieve patient information rapidly when needed from the backend server. RFID tags are vulnerable to identity disclosure and location privacy threats due to the static replies transmitted from those tags. Accordingly, this thesis provides two location privacy schemes for RFID network; in addition to that we take into consideration the limitations of RFID tags. 1- The first scheme we proposed in this thesis is Anonymous Mutual Authentication for Healthcare systems (AMAH); at which we provide tag anonymity and prevent eavesdropping, replay, relay, and Dos attacks. 2- Also we proposed Novel Hash-based Anonymous Authentication scheme (NHAA) to provide the same security properties in AMAH
