Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Prosthodontics Summary: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of two different curing techniques the conventional water bath method and microwave different polymerization curing cycies on bacterial colonization acrylic resin used in maxillary obtuator . Results : After six months of obturator use the long microwave curing cycle showed the statistically significant lowest mean percent increase in bacterial counts than the short curing cycles and conventional water bath technique in the palatal area and the fitting surface of the obturator
