Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Parasitology Summary: The present study aims at the differentiation of entamoeba histolytical and entamoeba dispar using nested multiplex PCR after detection of the entamoeba by conventional parasitological techniques . A total of 490 stool samples were collected from 300 symptomatic patients who were attending the outpatient clinics of Kasr Alaini Abou Elreish and the health centre of the Ministry of Health in Gesr Alsowais (known as the Ancylostoma Unit) as well as 190 asymptomatic people perorming routine check - up at the French Kasr Alaini Hospital
