Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: The effect on the variability in pile loads and bending moments within pile caps in piled cap foundations due to simultaneous random dislocation of two piles - either assuming correlated or uncorrelated misalignment of the two piles - is investigated in the present thesis as a continuation of a previous effort that solely focused on the effect of random dislocation of one pile at a time. Three pile cap configurations have been considered: rectangular, square and triangular shapes. The boundary element method using the PLPAK software integrated with monte carlo simulation techniques for random generation of the dislocations have been applied for analysis purposes
