Most pure polymers are electrical insulators. Incorporation of conductive fillers into a polymer matrix can bring an electrical conductivity to the polymer composite. The changing behavior of conductivity versus filler loading level is related to the sizes and dispersion as well as the interaction between filler particles and polymer matrix. An important pressure sensor feature of some conducting polymer composites, that is, the conductivity changes with pressure, is quite attractive for sensor applications
