The present study revealed that locally prepared tissue culture vaccine of rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease is potent and safeAll vaccines used in this study caused no clinico - pathological changes in vaccinated rabbitsExperimentally infected rabbits revealed several changes including anaemia , leucopenia , lymphopenia , thrombocytopenia and prolongation of PT and APTTAspartate aminotransferase ASTand Alanine aminotransferase ALTactivities were markedly increased
