Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Oral Surgery Summary: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of porous bioactive silica-calcium phosphate composite (SCPC) as a graft filling material in large cystic cavities. Twenty four patient suffering from large cystic lesion in the anterior or posterior area of the mandible or maxilla with an average size about 2 x 2 x 3 cms. Patients were divided into two groups, Group (I), (study group) involved 12 patients, (6) of them were males whose age ranged from (20 - 50) years and (6) females whose age ranged from (10-45) years
