Evident improvements in deep bite and smile were obvious after an average of two months of the insertion of the intrusive mechanics. Pre- and post-experimental records were taken including casts, photographs, lateral cephalometric, panoramic and periepical radiographs. Interpretation of the periepical radiographs were done to exclude apical root resorption. It was concluded that Burstone's mechanics are effective in treatment of gummy smile
