Introduction Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that usually affects the lungs, the relationship between TB and cancer is of dual nature. Patients with malignant diseases have an increased risk for diseases caused by TB. Patients with depressed cellular immunity such as those who have lymphoproliferative disorders, transplant patients and patients on immunosuppressive therapy are at particular risk. For latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) diagnosis, interferon gamma release assay (IGRAs) may be used as part of the overall risk assessment to identify individuals for preventive treatment (Hong et al, 2016). Patients and methods Quantiferon test was done for two immunosuppression group: solid malignancy (30 patients) and hematological malignancy (30 patient), followed with PCR sputum for positive patient to differentiate active from latent tuberculosis. Results Twenty patients were positive (11 solid cancers and 9 hematological malignancy) with p value 0.540, only two patients from them positive PCR
