Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Physical Therapy - Department of Basic Science Summary: Background: In developing countries, musculoskeletal complaints are considered as main cause of occupational complications and disability. Purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the years of service on the prevalence of work related physical disabilities among workers of Nag Hammadi Suger Factory and to determine which area of body part (lower back, neck or shoulder) has high prevalence of Musculoskeletal Disorders 2MSD3 through using Standardized Nordic Questionnaire (Five sections A, B, C, D, and E). Method: Three hundred workers of Nag Hammadi Suger in the study have been participated in the study. They were divided into three groups according to their years of services. First group "Group I" had the workers of 1-10 years of service. Second group "Group II" had the workers of 11-20 years of service. Third group "Group III" had workers of 21 of service or more. Results: In section B of questionnaire from all collected subjects, the data showed that the WMSD increase by increase years of service while other data showed controversy. In section C, D, E of questioner from all collected subjects, the lower back area was the most affected area among neck and shoulder. Conclusion: Most data of our study showed that with increase years of services the incidence prevalence of work related physical disability among workers increase. Also the lower back area of body has high prevalence of MSD among neck and shoulder
