The present study deals with constructing an automatic low - cost crystallizer systemThe study of the produced sample is important to judge the performance of the constructed unitA well - known TGS sample was grown and some physical properties of the produced crystal are measured and then compared it with its published resultsTriglycine sulfate (NH2CH2COOH) 3H2SO4 (TGS) is a well known ferroelectric material since 1956 , has large pyroelectric coefficient and low dielectric constant (40) and it has been an important material used in the fabrication of infrared (IR) detectorsPure TGS shows a typical second order ferroelectric phase transition at the Curie point TC=49?CAbove the Curie temperature it belongs to non - polar point group 2 / m of the monoclinic systemBelow TC , spontaneous polarization PS arises along the b - axis of the polar point group 2 of the monoclinic systemThe crystal is non piezoelectric in the paraelectric state
