520 _aChristian satellite channels’ treatment of social issues in Egypt and their role in shaping Copts’ knowledge and attitudes towards them after the June 30 Revolution) The study aims to identify the extent to which Copts depend on social programs in christian channels to obtain information regarding social issues, with a focus on Ctv and Mesat channels, and the extent to which these channels affect Copts’ knowledge, attitudes and behavior toward these issues after the June 30, 2013 revolution within the framework of the theory of dependence On the media, and the study relied on the survey method, both descriptive and analytical, for a field survey on the data of a sample of 400 respondents from the Copts in the governorates of Cairo and Alexandria, which were collected using an electronic questionnaire, and also an analysis of the sections of social programs that discuss three intentional issues, namely marriage, education, housing during The period from 1/5/2019 to 1/5/2021, by chosing available videos on youtube. The study reached several results, including: - The majority of the study sample falls within the category of average viewing of christian religious channels after the June 30 revolution. - Ctv came at the forefront of the christian channels followed by the respondents, followed directly by the channel. - The significance of the correlation between the intensity of respondents’ exposure to the content presented on social issues raised in christian religious channels and the formation of their knowledge, attitudes and behavior towards these issues in part. - The significance of the correlation between the extent to which respondents depend on the content presented on social issues raised in christian religious channels and the formation of their knowledge, attitudes and behavior towards these issues in part. - The morality of the correlation between the degree of respondents’ confidence in church institutions and their symbols and the intensity of their exposure to the content presented on social issues raised in christian religious channels as a whole. - The significance of the correlation between the degree of respondents’ confidence in church institutions and their symbols and the extent of their dependence on the content presented on social issues raised in christian religious channels in total. The moral correlation between the motives of respondents’ exposure to the content presented on social issues raised in christian religious channels and the formation of their knowledge, attitudes and behavior towards these issues in part.
