520			_aThis study was done to evaluate the bony changes around laser surface treated implants and sandblasted acid-etched surface treated implants installed in the mandible of completely edentulous patients. Materials and methods: Evaluation of the marginal bone loss around implants was performed using image analysis software (Digora Optime, Soredex), bone resorption was measured as the distance between implant-abutment junction and the first implant-bone contact. Implant dimensions, width and length, were used for software calibration to compensate for radiographic magnification. Marginal bone loss was determined in millimeters after 6, 9, 12 months from values at base line and averaged from mesial and distal aspect of each implant. After finishing the assessment phase, the collected data was collected and statistically analyzed. Results: Results of this study showed that SLA group showed significant higher bone loss than Laser group at all observation times. Conclusion: According to the discussion, and considering the limitations of the present study, it can be concluded that laser treated implant surfaces have significant marginal bone stability compared to SLA treated implant surfaces
520			_aاجريت هذه الدراسة لمقارنة تأثير المعالجات المختلفة لسطح الغرسات على التغيرات العظمية حول عمليات زرع الفك السفلي لمرضى الفقدان الكلي للأسنان. المواد والطريقه: وقد أجريت الدراسة على ثلاثه عشرمريضا خالي الفم من الاسنان، المترددين علي العيادة الخارجية بقسم الاستعاضة الصناعية لكلية طب الفم والاسنان جامعة القاهرة. تلقى جميع المرضى غرستان لمعالجات سطحية مختلفة في الفك السفلي بمنطقة ما بين النابين غرسة معالجة السطح بالليزر في الجانب الأيمن وأخرى معالجة السطح الرملي المحفور بالحمض في الجانب الأيسر. بعد ستة اسابيع من وضع الغرسات،تم ربط دعامات الكرة والمقبس عند عشرون نيوتن فوق الغرسات ومن ثم تركيب طقم الاسنان فوق الدعامات وفحص المرضى في يوم الاستلام واستدعوا بعد سته وتسعه واثنى عشر شهرًا للتقييم. تم إجراء تقييم لفقدان العظم الهامشي حول الغرسات باستخدام نظام الاشعه الرقمي الخاص بجهاز ديجورا لتحليل الصور ، وتم قياس ارتشاف العظام على أنه المسافة بين تقاطع دعامة الزرع وأول اتصال عظمي بالغرسه. تم استخدام أبعاد الغرسة وعرضها وطولها لمعايرة البرنامج للتعويض عن التكبير الشعاعي. تم تحديد فقدان العظام الهامشي بطرح قيم مستوى العظام بالمليمترات بعد سته و تسعه واثنى عشر شهرًا من القيم عند خط الأساس ومتوسطها من الجانب الإنسي و الوحشي لكل غرسة. بعد فترة الاثنى عشر شهرا .تم الانتهاء من تقييم فقدان العظم الهامشي حول الغرسات ، وجدولة البيانات التي تم جمعها وتحليلها إحصائيا. النتائج: أظهر التحليل الإحصائي للبيانات التي تم جمعها، أن مجموعة الغرسات معالجة السطح المحفور بالحمض الرملي أظهرت خسارة عظم أعلى من مجموعة الغرسات معالجة السطح بالليزر في جميع أوقات الملاحظة مع وجود فرق معنوي بينهما.
