520			_aThis thesis aimed at identifying bacterial cultures using spectrochemical analytical techniques. Two different techniques were chosen, LIBS as an atomic emission spectroscopy providing compositional information and LIF as a molecular fluorescence spectroscopy providing structural information. Both techniques were diverse in their detection mechanisms.
