520			_aThis thesis examines the feasibility of implementing a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in the Greater Cairo Metropolitan Area's Ring Road. It draws lessons from successful international experiences and employs Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) for evaluation. The inductive methodology is used, initially focusing on international practices and then a quantitative CBA for the Cairo BRT is conducted. The analysis indicates that the BRT system can address traffic issues, foster sustainability, and yield a positive return on investment. Thus, it is economically viable and sustainable. Its implementation in Cairo's Ring Road is recommended, with potential for replication in other Egyptian cities facing similar transport-related challenges. However, enhancing data accuracy, stakeholder engagement, network integration, and land use planning is crucial.
