520 | _aBackground: CHDs constitute the most common birth defects among newborns and have emerged as one of the most important causes of infant mortality. Additionally, CHDs have a significant impact on child and adult morbidity and disability. Objectives: The current study aimed to assess changes in prevalence and pattern of congenital heart diseases during the era of COVID-19. To obtain this aim all patients who attended the echo clinic at Abo Elreesh kids hospital during the duration between (June 2018 till May 2019) and from (June 2021 till May 2022) were included and were divided into 2 main groups To obtain this aim There was a significant increase in the prevalence of congenital heart diseases during the era of COVID-19 when compared with the era before COVID-19 (47.3% vs 43.3%; P=0.024). There was a significant increase in the prevalence of cyanotic heart diseases during the era of COVID-19 when compared with the era before COVID-19 (P<0.001). There was a significant increase in the prevalence of TOF during the era of COVID-19 when compared with the era before COVID-19 (P<0.001). Suspected COVID-19 during the 1st trimester was significantly associated with higher incidence of cyanotic heart diseases (P<0.001)., In addition, suspected COVID-19 during the 1st trimester in the current study was significantly associated with higher incidences of development of TOF, TGA with decreased pulmonary blood flow, CCHD with admixture lesion especially TGA with increased pulmonary blood flow (P<0.001, 0.017, 0.025, 0.044 and 0.008 respectively). Regarding acyanotic CHD in suspected COVID -19, during the 1st trimester in the current study was significantly associated with higher incidences of development of VSD and AS (P=0.040 and 0.040 respectively).
