520			_aThe practice of seeking fatwas (religious rulings) from the senior companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was common, especially in situations where there was no explicit text from the Quran or Sunnah. These senior companions can be categorized into three groups: those who frequently issued fatwas, those who moderately issued fatwas, and those who rarely issued fatwas. This study is a comparative fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) analysis of some fatwas issued by the companions in the third category, aiming to understand their sources of judgment, the extent to which these fatwas align with the rulings of the more frequent issuers among them, and the influence of these fatwas in establishing the later adopted schools of fiqh. Additionally, this study seeks to derive insights from these fatwas to address contemporary issues and determine their corresponding Islamic rulings in accordance with the time and place.
