520			_aMyocardial infarction (MI) is one of the most prevalent disorders seen in clinical practice, and its prevalence has risen dramatically in the last decade. Ovothiol-A is a natural product isolated from sea urchin eggs and display unusual antioxidant properties. The present study investigates the therapeutic effect of Ovothiol-A against MI stimulated in rats by epinephrine injection. Subcutaneous injection of 2 mg/kg epinephrine for 2 days caused MI in rats. The rats divided into three groups; control, MI, and MI treated with Ovothiol-A (500 mg/kg, orally) for 7 days. The treatment with Ovothiol-A restored ST-segment near normal, ameliorated the changes in cardiac troponin T, creatine kinase, lactate dehydrogenase, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine amino transferase, alkaline phosphatase, total proteins, creatinine, uric acid, urea, malondialdehyde, nitric oxide, reduced glutathione, catalase, glutathione-S-transferase, hemoglobin, RBCs, WBCs, platelet/lymphocyte ratio, and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio. The histological investigation revealed that Ovothiol- A-treated group showed marked improvement in the examined cardiac muscles, liver and kidney in numerous sections. Ovothiol-A possessed a therapeutic effect against epinephrine-induced myocardial infarction. Ovothiol-A improves cardiac, liver, and kidney biomarkers and restores the typical pattern of EEG
520			_aيعد احتشاء عضلة القلب أحد أكثر الاضطرابات الشائعة, و قد ارتفع انتشاره بشكل كبير فى العقد الماضى. افوثيول أ هو منتج طبيعى مستخرج من بيض قنفد البحر, له العديد من الخصائص المضاده للأكسده. تبحث الدراسة الحالية فى التأثير العلاجي لاوفوثيول أ ضد احتشاء عضلة القلب المستحث فى الجرذان عن طريق حقن الابينفرين. تسبب الحقن تحت الجلد ل 2 مجم / كجم من الابينفرين لمدة يومين فى حدوث احتشاء لعضلة القلب فى الجرذان. تم تقسيم الجرذان الى ثلاث مجموعات فرعية. مجموعة ضابطه, و مجموعة مصابة باحتشاء عضلة القلب و مجموعة مصابة باحتشاء عضلة القلب و معالجة بافوثيول أ (500 مجم / كجم, عن طريق الفم) لمدة 7 أيام. العلاج عن طريق افوثيول أ أدى الى استعادة قطعة-أس تي بالقرب من المعدل الطبيعي فى رسم القلب, أدى الى تقليل التغيرات فى الكارديك تروبونين, كرياتين كيناز, لاكتيت ديهيدروجيناز, الاسبرتات امينو ترانسفيراز, الالانين امينو ترانسفيراز, الفوسفات القاعدى, البروتين الكلى, الكرياتينين, اليوريا, حمض اليوريك, المالونداى الدهيد, اوكسيد النيتروجين, الجلوتاثيون المختزل, الكتاليز, الجلوتاثيون اس ترانسفيراز, الهيموجلوبين, كرات الدم الحمراء, كرات الدم البيضاء, نسبة الصفائح الدموية الى الخلايا الليمفاوية, و نسبة الخلايا الليمفاوية الى الصفائح الدموية. فيما أظهر الفحص الهيستولوجى أن المجموعة المعالجة بافوثيول أ أظهرت تحسنا ملحوظا فى عضلة القلب و الكبد و الكلى التى تم فحصها فى العديد من الأقسام. يمتلك افوثيول أ تأثيرا علاجيا ضد احتشاء عضلة القلب المستحث بواسطة الأدرينالين. يحسن افوثيول أ المؤشرات الحيوية للقلب و الكبد و الكلى و يعيد النمط النموذجى لرسم القلب.
