520			_aA crossover randomized controlled study aimed to compare patient satisfaction and retention of 3D-printed maxillary complete denture bases constructed from final impressions using conventional acrylic trays or thermoplastic trays. Eleven patients were recruited from the outpatient clinic at the Department of Prosthodontics, Cairo University. Following the inclusion criteria, all included patients signed an informed consent form to enroll in the study. Digital scanning of master casts, virtual denture base design, and 3D printing of denture bases were performed for both groups. Complete denture retention was evaluated using a forcemeter attached to a wire loop at the geographic center, at baseline and after two weeks of delivery. Patients received questionnaires to evaluate their satisfaction with esthetics, phonetics, mastication, and comfort. Dentist satisfaction was rated based on denture base retention, extension, vertical dimension, and occlusion. Data were collected, tabulated, and statistically analyzed. The results showed no statistically significant difference in retention values between the two studied groups. Regarding overall dentist satisfaction, there was an insignificant difference between the groups. However, in terms of patient satisfaction, a statistically significant difference was found in overall patient satisfaction favoring the thermoplastic tray group.
520			_aتم تصميم هذه التجربة السريرية العشوائية لمقارنة رضا المرضى والقدرة على الاحتفاظ بأطقم الأسنان الكاملة العلوية المصنعة عن طريق الطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد والتي أُنْشِئَت من الانطباعات النهائية باستخدام صواني انطباع أكريليك تقليدية مخصصة وصواني انطباع جاهزة ذات تلدّن حراري وقد أجريت هذه الدراسة على أحد عشر مريضا من العيادة الخارجية لكلية طب الفم والأسنان بجامعة القاهرة. باتباع معايير الاشتمال، وقع جميع المرضى المشمولين على استمارة موافقة مستنيرة للتسجيل في الدراسة. أجرى مسحاً ضوئياً رقمي للقوالب النهائية، ثم تصميم قاعدة أطقم الأسنان افتراضيا، والطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد لقواعد أطقم الأسنان لكلتا المجموعتين. قُيِّم الاحتفاظ بأطقم الأسنان الكاملة العلوية باستخدام مقياس القوة عند بداية تسليم أطقم الأسنان للمرضى وبعدها بأسبوعين. تلقى المرضى استبيانات لتقييم مدى رضاهم عن الجماليات والصوتيات والمضغ والراحة. قُيِّم رضا طبيب الأسنان على أساس الاحتفاظ بأطقم الأسنان، والامتداد، والبعد العمودي، والإطباق. وجُمِعَت البيانات وجدولتها وتحليلها إحصائيا للوصول إلى نتيجة. أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في قيم القدرة على الاحتفاظ بين المجموعتين المدروستين. فيما يتعلق بالرضا العام لطبيب الأسنان، لم يكن هناك اختلاف يعد إحصائيا بين المجموعتين. ومع ذلك، تم العثور على فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية في رضا المرضى بشكل عام لصالح مجموعة الصواني ذات اللدائن الحرارية. استنادا إلى نتائج الدراسة الحالية، يمكن أن نستنتج أن أطقم الأسنان المصنوعة من الصواني ذات اللدائن الحرارية يمكن أن يكون لها صفات مماثلة لتلك المصنوعة من الصواني التقليدية.
