520 | _aA total of 300 samples of feed stuffs of animal origin were examined bacteriologically for mesophillic psychrophillic enterobacteriaceae and MPN of coliforms and faecal coliforms . E. coli and Salmonella were isolated with an incidence of 20% and 6% respectively . Two hundred chicks of one - day old were divided into 4 equal groups (control second group inoculated with Salmonella typhimurium third group with Salmonella vircheo and fourth group inoculated with E. coli O78 ) with level of 20 cfu/g. Atotal; of 100 broiler chicken carcasses (fresh and frozen) were examined bacteriologically E. coli could be isolated from 60% and 16% of skin and muscles of fresh broiler carcasses while in frozen broiler carcasses 32 % and 6% of skin and muscles respectively | ||
