520 | _aThe present study aims to evaluate the possible ameliorative effect of earthworm (Allolobophora caliginosa) extract (EE) against silicon dioxide nanoparticles (SiNPs) {u2013} induced liver injury in male albino rats. The effectiveness of EE was compared with silymarin as a standard hepatoprotective drug. The present work disclosed the antioxidant activity of the EE by a DPPH (1, 1 - diphenyl - 2 -picrylhydrazyl) assay. Administration of SiNPs, for successive 15 days, caused an undesirable effect on most of the studied biochemical parameters | ||
