520 _aCysticercosis and hydatidosis are parasitic infection that presents majoreconomic and public health problems in different countries.A survey on Cysticercosis and hydatidosis in sheep and cattle slaughtered at El-Basatin abattoir, Cairo, Egypt, was conducted during the period from Januaryto December 2012.Out of 426 sheep it was found that19.72%, 11.50% and 4.22% were infected with Cysticercus tenuicollis, C.ovis and Hydatid cyst,respectively.While on the examination of 450 cattle 14.00% and 0.67%were infected with C.bovis and HC respectively. Concerning the seasonal incidence of larval cestodes in sheep and cattle, it was found that the highest infection rate46.85% and 19.84% was in Summerin sheep and cattle respectively. While the lowest rate 25.26% and 10.21%was found inWinterin sheep and cattle respectively.Regarding to the site of infection, it was found that out of 84 infected sheep were infected with C.tenuicollis in their omentum, liver and diaphragm with a rate of 73.81%, 25.00% and 1.19%, respectively. Out of 49 infected sheep were found to have the infection with C.ovis in their heart, liver, muscles and diaphragm with a rate of 65.30%, 24.49%, 8.16% and 2.04%respectively
