520 _aBackground: Fetus with intrauterine stress may exhibit programmed changes that can alter its metabolism and bear severe risk for diseases in adult life. Objective: The current study was designed to assess the correlation between cord blood lipid pro{uFB01}le with the anthropometric data in neonates. Results: The TG and LDL levels of SGA babies were signi{uFB01}cantly higher as compared to AGA group (P < 0.001). The TG and LDL show significant strong negative correlation with ponderal index. Maternal BMI had no in{uFB02}uence on neonates{u2019} lipid pro{uFB01}le. Conclusion: Abnormal intrauterine milieu created by maternal changes during gestation may bear a profound impact on lipid metabolism in neonates, which may account for their differences in lipid pro{uFB01}le and anthropometry at birth
