520 _abackground: Laparotomy incisions are usually associated with persistent postoperative discomfort and pain. Wound infiltration is a method for intra and post operative analgesia commonly used alone or with other analgesic regimens. It was developed to improve post operative analgesia, reduce opioid consumption and hasten patient recovery. The aim of this randomized blind study was to assess The addition of dexmedetomidine to bupivacaine in pre skin incision wound infiltration whether gives better sedation than bupivacaine magnesium mixture or bupivacaine alone on intra and post operative analgesia in patients undergoing open abdominal surgeries
