520 _aThis work has been carried out to: 1- Describe the importance of combination of several analytical techniques (spectroscopic, thermal analyses and mass spectrometry) in microanalysis of pioglitazone HCl, doxazosin mesylate and terazosin HCl drugs and their reaction products with organic reagent (rose bengal). 2- Develop and validate simple, rapid and selective spectrophotometric methods for microdetermination of these drugs in pure and in pharmaceutical preparations. 3- Prepare, separate and elucidate the structures of the solid products by elemental analysis, IR and 1H-NMR techniques. 4- Studying the biological activity of the drugs and their solid reaction products with rose bengal and comparing them with each other
