520 | _aUnfortunately, in the race to revitalize their urban waterfronts many cities have overlooked the importance of providing meaningful public. Cairo is one of these cities. In this thesis I discussed some important issues of the waterfront development process in three cities as case studies. Every case study is an example of a great waterfront transformation each in its own way. Each of these issues affects the redevelopment process in every waterfront city. The analyses of the case studies lead me to a development of a strategy to assess its applicability to the Nile riverfront in Cairo, Egypt | ||
