520 _aThis study was carried out to shed light on the ecological and biological studies on Phyllotetranychus aegyptiacus Sayed and its associated predator. Distribution, host information, symptoms, behavior and habits are studied. Results showed that individuals of P. aegyptiacus on date palm varieties Samani and Zaghlol were found throughout the year on leaves. During winter, all the individuals are eggs (quiescent). In case of Samani, the first peak recorded during February, and the high peak recorded in July (219.6 individuals) when the temperature (35.2 {u2013} 23.6{u00BA}C) and 60.2% R.H.. While in case of Zaghlol variety the peak recorded in July and August (137 individuals) when the temperature recoded (35.2 - 34{u00BA}C) and 60.2% R.H. In both seasons (2011- 2012) and in both varieties, the adults of mite do not existed during winter, while the eggs recorded high percent. In the first and second season, the presence of all stages of mites covered the period from June to the end of August. The most active period of predators starting in spring, summer and decreased in autumn. Three insect predators were recorded associated with P. aegyptiacus.8 families of predaceous mites were found associated with P. aegyptiacus families Phytoseiidae and Hemisarcoptidae recorded high percent. Statistical analysis between varieties were negatively high significant in both season. Mites inhabiting date palms in Manawat region (Giza governorate) were also studied during 2014
