520 _aPurpose: The aim of this study was to compare two sinus lift methods using lateral window technique (Piezoelectric versus Rotary trephine DASK drill) analyzing; sinus membrane injury during creation of the lateral bony wall osteotomy, time required for the completion of the osteotomy, and the complications associated with the use of each method. Materials and Methods: The present study was conducted on twelve patients (three males and nine females) with age ranged from 21 to 52 years seeking fixed prosthetic restoration for their posterior maxillary teeth, and has limited bone height below the floor of the maxillary sinus secondary to sinus pneumatization. The lateral access was performed by vestibular standard incision and development of mucoperiosteal flap. Patients were randomly divided into two groups, six patients each. Group A; Consisted of six patients subjected to maxillary sinus lifting and received a titanium implant using piezoelectric appliance and group B Consisted of six patients subjected to maxillary sinus lifting and received a titanium implant using DASK drill # 6
