520 | _aThe present study was performed to compare the healing potential of nanosilver solution versus chlorhexidine solution in treating ulcer induced defects on the lower lip mucous membrane side in a rat animal model. The data were based on histological and immunohistochemical examination. The experimental part was conducted on 45 albino rats. Rats were anesthetized by intramuscular injection of ketamine (50 mg/kg) and incisions measuring 3mm in length was made. Topical application of Nicorandil paste (20 mg) was used three successive days to induce labial ulceration. The rats were divided into three equal groups.
