520 _aThis study evaluated the effect of different veneering techniques and thicknesses on the color of translucent Ice zirconia substructure. A total of twenty four translucent Ice Zirconia disc samples 12 mm in a diameter, 0.5 mm in thickness were designed and constructed using zirkonzahn system. The samples were classified into two main groups: Group I: (n = 12) veneered by layering technique using IPS emax ceram dentin shade A2. Group II (n = 12) veneered by press-on technique using IPS emax press in got shade A2. Each group was further subdivided into two equal subgroups: Subgroup A: (n = 6) 0.5 mm thickness. Subgroup B: (n = 6) 1.0 mm thickness. Twenty four composite resin discs 12mm in diameter and 5mm in thickness in A3 shade, were fabricated to be bonded to ceramic specimens using dual - curing translucent rely X Unicem automix Self-Adhesive Resin luting cement. The color measurement was done using a spectrophotometer unit and {u2206}E was calculated. Data were presented as means and standard deviation (SD) values. Two way ANOVA was used to study the effect of two different Veneering techniques and two different thicknesses on mean xE. Independent t-test and One Way ANOVA were used in multiple comparisons. Showed that veneering techniques and thicknesses had a significant effect on mean (xE) Values at P {u2264} 0.001. The layering technique is preferred and the 1.0 mm veneer thickness was the optimum thickness regarding color matching
