| 520 | _aOsteosarcoma accounting for about 56 % of all bones cancers in individuals under the age of 20 years. Although the overall survival has improved dramatically, yet it remains a challenging disease especially in developing countries. Was to find the survival outcome in metastatic osteosarcoma and its correlation to different prognostic variables. Sixty one (61) of newly diagnosed OS patients who presented to national cancer institute, Cairo university, Egypt from January 2008 To December 2013 were considered eligible in this retrospective study, data of the included patients were collected, that included age, gender, primary tumor size, initial lung metastases, lung metastases features, and management approach of lung metastases. The 3 year PFS was found to be 3%. The 3 year OS was 20% with a median survival of 23 months. Analysis of data in our study revealed statistically significant positive correlation between PFS and resectability (p value < 0.007), and negative correlation found with time to local control (P value < 0.02), while other factors were insignificant. Positive correlation was found between OS and resectability of lung metastases (P value0.04), yet other factors showed no statistical significance | ||
