520 | _aThe lateral approach sinus floor augmentation is preferred to be performed utilizing safe instrument like reamers and microelevators to lower the sinus membrane perforation possibilities .Aim of the study : the aim of this study to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of using two different reamers for the lateral approach sinus floor augmentation, by assessing tear of sinus membrane and the amount of bone gain after augmentation.Material and methods :This study was carried out on eight patients The same surgical technique was used for the two groups except the reamer used for the lateral approach sinus floor augmentation; one group LS reamer was used and the other group C reamer was used. Results : There was no statistically significant difference between the amounts of bone gain and the prevalence of sinus membrane tear between the two groups. Conclusions : It was concluded that the sinus bone grafting technique using special reamers and microelevators is considered to be an effective surgical method to reduce the risk of sinus membrane perforation, and it is performed easily with anticipated surgical care | ||
