520 _aBovine tuberculosis is a serious disease affecting the animal wealth and its zoonotic nature has a serious impact on the human health. Rapid diagnosis of bovine tuberculosis disease is highly challenging and the standard method used for diagnosis of bovine tuberculosis is the tuberculin test, which lacks both sensitivity and specificity. Also, this test is labor intensive and time consuming. Other bovine tuberculosis diagnostic assays, however, have been described, which depend primarily upon measurement of bovine interferon gamma (Bo-IFN-{u024F}) released from sensitized lymphocytes upon exposure to the sensitizing antigen(s). The present work aimed to improve the control of bovine tuberculosis by development and comparing between two technologies for measurement of Bo-IFN-{u024F}. The first was a local Bo-IFN-{u024F} dependent ELISA assay and the second was molecular laser Raman spectroscopy technique (MLRS). The later technique proved more sensitive than the developed ELISA assay and proved to a promising technology in medical diagnostic field. From the results obtained in the present work, it is recommended to evaluate the possible application of such technology that proved to be successful in monitoring bovine tuberculosis disease, in diagnosis of other cell-mediated immunity dependent diseases
