520 _aThe current study was conducted in an attempt to assess the photochemical effect of diode laser (LLLT) on osseointegration of dental implants. The study was performed on twelve female patients, they were divided into 2 groups each group contained six patients. All patients underwent delayed non submerged implant insertion, group I has left to heal normally while group II has subjected to (LLLT) intraoperatively before the insertion of dental implant, the patients of this group were subjected to gallium arsenide laser device for 1 minute. All patients were followed up clinically and radiographically for osseointegration using IDRISI Kilimanjaro software at time intervals of immediate, 3 and 6 month post- operatively.Clinical assessment showed no sign of infection, implant mobility, wound dehiscence, or exposure of implant threads There was significant increase in bone density from time interval to another in both groups on laser group while there was no significant difference in bone density in control group at all time intervals. The results revealed that there was a statistically significant cumulative effect in bone density per time among both groups. In control group, the progress rate of bone density increased through the different intervals. However, the application of gallium arsenide diode laser revealed statistically significant value in the percentage increase of the bone density. The low intensity laser irradiation promoted bone healing around titanium implants. The bone healing process together with osseointegration processed in laser group better than the control group
