520 | _aThe aim of the current investigation was to study biodiesel production by Fusarium oxysporum, Asperigullus brasiliensis , Penicillium brevicompactum and Gliocladium roseum cultured on two types of agricultural wastes, el-ghasheem and wheat straw. The nutritional, physiological and environmental factors affecting lipid production from these fungi were optimized. Lipids were studied using Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR) indicating the presence of triglycerides and after transesterification of lipids showed the presence of fatty acid methyl esters. The fatty acids profiles were also determined by gas chromatography (GC) coupled with flame ionization detector and GC-mass spectroscopy. The results showed that lipids from these fungi was a potential alternative resource for biodiesel production | ||
