520 | _aAssessment of gas reserves in multi-layered commingled and compartmentalized reservoirs depends mainly on proper allocation of gas production either directly through the wells or indirectly between through communicating tanks. This task is a cumbersome and in most cases will lead to inconclusive results especially with minimal pressure and rate data for every layer. The main objective of this research is to present a simple analytical tool which can adapt with these conditions and provide a reliable estimate of original gas in place and production allocation. This was achieved by coupling of Layer Stabilized Flow Model (LSFM) for commingled system with communicating reservoir model (CR) for compartmented reservoirs. The model was verified and applied against several simulation and field cases | ||
