520 | _aBreast surgery can be associated with significant postoperative pain. Regional blocks such as thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB) helps to alleviate this pain. The use of ultrasound to guide such a block increased the accuracy and decreased the complications. Recently, a novel series of ultrasound-guided pectoral nerve blocks (Pecs I and Pecs II) were suggested to relieve pain after breast surgery. In Pecs blocks the local anesthetic is injected at an interfascial planes between the pectoralis major, pectoralis minor, and serratus anterior muscles. A detailed description of the ultrasound guided blocks as well as different techniques of TPVB and PECS block were discussed | ||
