520 _aHost cell lipid droplets (LDs), along with their associated PAT proteins (perilipin protein family) contribute to the regulation of numerous cellular processes as well the pathogenesis of various diseases. LDs play an impotant role in promoting the life cycle of hepatitis C virus (HCV). The regulation of PAT proteins expression and subsequently cellular lipid droplets by microRNAs has never been investigated.
