520 _aThis research examines the idea of the usage of an American neo orientalist discourse that is based on the European orientalist discourse against the Middle East, especially Iran after the 11th of September bombing of the twin towers and the Pentagon. It analyzes the neo orientalist discourse voiced by Middle Eastern writers in the diaspora with a special focus on Iranian women{u2019}s memoirs in the diaspora. By so doing, it reveals the affinities between the neo orientalist discourse and the local informants. European orientalism is represented in Edward Said{u2019}s Orientalism and Culture and Imperialism. The features of the American neo orientalism will be derived from multiple sources like official speeches of President George W. Bush, Bernard Lewis{u2019}s books, Samuel Huntington{u2019}s theory of clash of civilizations, articles that deal with the topic and books that tackle the relation between the United States and the Middle East
